I'm sure it's not the best out there. But it very well may be the best bang for your buck. No alcohol in this one, either. It does what I need it to do, and at a sub $10 price. I'm happy.

Yup, on all counts, though I go with their unscented so it doesn't interfere with any post-shave fragrance I may want to use.

After much trial and error, I find that I’m not a balm guy.
Even though I know it’s bad for me, I like alcohol splashes.
I have tried Barts Balm from Scotland, meh.
In the dryer skin winter weather I splash on some hyaluronic acid and follow up with some of Chicago Grooming Good Oleo.
Works great for shaving irritation and dry skin.
If I had to pick an alcohol free balm, it would be Nivea.
I like both their lotion and balm.
I scored a Nivea from the UK called Fresh Kick After Shave Balm With Mint & Cactus Water.
I like it a lot, just don’t use it much in the summer.

XPEC made a fantastic balm. Rest in peace, fantastic balm… WhollyKaw is of course great, and I much enjoy the Mysterium Serum balm that Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements made available. Zingari Man Recovery Splash is splendid, so I should try their balm next.
Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”
