I'm waiting to see how these work out for you.

Honestly, both are good, but I don't know if I'd reorder either.

The scent for Wholly Kaw is barely there. And ZM doesn't leave my face feeling as fantastic as I'd hoped. Hawkins & Brimble is better.

First off, it DOES contain cetearyl alcohol, a long chain alcohol employed for emulsifying (nothing like ethanol).  So technically, my initial response was misposted.

One simply uses a dollop approximating a US dime: 18mm or 0,7" to cover an entire face (it quite good as a rejuvenator).  A bottle lasts about a year, more if skipping days between shaves/uses.

Even in deep South Summers running, it never greasy nor sticky.

By FAR and not even close, the best balm ever used after having tried them all. Any of the variants brilliant but Apricot Hull just slightly better than Almond, Sandalwood or Tobacco.

After I use up my current stash I may just bite the bullet and order this.

I always use balm as the absolute last product applied to face.

Thought I should post an update.

Almost an impulse buy, I bought Pre de Provence no. 63 aftershave balm.

Only one use, so take my comments with a grain of salt, but this is the best balm I have ever used.

I have been shaving every day so my skin is a bit frustrated after a shave. This is the origin of my criticism of WK/ZM.

I slapped on some #63 after my shave this morning. Man oh MAN.

My skin feels like it's the first shave after an extended break. Smooth like glass, zero inflammation/irritation. I think this is the best balm I've ever used.

It's dirt cheap.

The smell is one of the best I have ever come across. Sadly fleeting - it's gone in under an hour - but I will definitely be buying the corresponding cologne.

PdP is an underappreciated line albeit no ABC. Love the 63 and use their hand soaps almost exclusively

I think the PdP 63 Balm and EDT are both excellent products, and so is the soap for that matter.  They may not be world champions, but each does a fine job, and they all are great values IMO.

PS  Thanks for the heads-up about Hawkins & Brimble.
