Having said that, I decided the best thing to do for me was to use one setup for a month and the razor in that setup is a DE.

Even though I decided to concentrate on technique, RAD hit me. These SE razors arrived this week...three days after my "technique" decision. I'm not going to use them for at least a few more weeks...gotta love that anticipation Smile. But once I do, I'm going to do the same thing...pick one and stick to it for a month.

I'm not sure what type the injector is and I think the Auto Strop is a V2. One question though...when you "lock down" the blade on the Auto Strop, should the strop feature lock as well?

Thankfully, this GEM arrived before the decision and I was able to use it once. By far the best SE shave I've received...very little irritation with this one.

Wow those are nice! Hard to tell In the picture, but the Injector looks like an E or a G maybe. If it has a seem down the center of the handle than I would say it is most likely a G, but I'm no expert.
That MMOC looks clean too, this shave beautifully.
And the Injector looks more like a VC1 to me, those are nice because they can take a modified GEM blades, the later ones do not

I kind of jumped in with both feet Big Grin.  Got them on Wednesday and have been shaving with the Featherweight. Really enjoying it and can't wait to try the others.

The Bakelite handle on the Treet razor fits the EverReady head. Now technically I agreed to buy the Treet before the EverReady entered the conversation the next morning but to those outside the Wet Shaving Comm. I had to buy the Treet Razor in order to get the handle for the EverReady head  Angel

Thanks to Doug, (DblDe)  I was able to get an instant SE collection.  Been messaging each other over the last week about the razors and other shave stuff. Great guy and very helpful.  Happy2

I want to give a shout out to Brian (ShadowsDad).  In addition to this thread I found some reviews of his on TSN which were very helpful as well as answering questions I had about what to look for and what to ask/confirm when looking to buy this style of razor.

Thanks also to all those who have posted on here with your insight.

Sorry not the best photographer:

Scott, Its been a pleasure. Lots of fun. Great to see the PIC. Its so cool seeing them posted from your Den. They've all provided fantastic shaves for me and I'm sure will continue for you. Wish I had an extra Handle to offer, I really like the feel in using the Fat handles so I've accumulated Three of them. The ShovelHead was solidly back off the table as they are my favorite SE, and it's in barley used(Only by me) condition. Only lightly cleaned off old Dust, not a speck of soap at all. As I was planning the best way to ship out the razors I started thinking again. Even though I still would have loved holding onto it, I thought this was the perfect time to through it out there to see if you'd take it, I'm glad you did. I think you're going to like it.

This is my most used SE, It's on the top of the list for a Delta Echo refinish. Only issue in getting that done is spending the funds saved on other Shave related items. I am working on that thought  Rolleyes

Thanks...i was really surprised with the condition of the MMOC. The only thing I did was a soap & water scrub and a 10 minute soak in barbicide. The injector was also very clean...much cleaner than the one I had previously purchase. Can't wait to give these a try

Thanks Doug. I haven't used the Treet yet but I have used the GEM Junior and Featherweight.  The Bakelite Handle is comfortable to use and I like it more and more. This Junior definitely sings (pretty loud) Happy2  the Featherweight was more muted.  I believe it regarding the Shovelhead it looks awesome in person, the light reflecting off its shiny surface was giving me trouble trying to take the picture. Nice problem to have Smile  Thank you again for giving me the opportunity to try these vintage beauties.

Do you have the Delta Echo finish picked out for it yet?

I forgot to link to the Rolls Razor thread in this one as I said I would. I'll correct that now.

Alrighty, Single Edge SEptember will soon be upon us. I propose a challenge to anyone willing to use only SE razors (straights and shavettes included) for the whole month of SEptember. I'll be really focusing on my MMOC and a few of my injectors, and the other SEs may make an appearance as well. I'm also about to receive a PAL adjustable in a pass around soon so that will get lots of use too. What will you use for SEptember?

Here's the entire SE collection thus far. Razors towards the left are what will most likely be used during SEptember. But the rest are great shavers and may end up calling my name, we shall see. The Pal Adjustable coming in the pass around will take precedence for the first week or so, depending on how quickly it arrives.

You know you can count me in for SEptember! It won't be much of a change from any other month recently though. I have used a DE a few times in the last week or so just for a change of pace. Nice collection BTW, whiteboy_cannon. I have to get me one of those Personna injectors.
