Had a darn fine shave with this excellent looking razor. The teeth look vicious, just waiting to eat through some facial hair. Kept the angle low (cap flat on face) and the pressure and it treated me just right. Near perfect BBS in three passes. Just one small weeper on the neck from losing the angle for a second. Facing my day smelling like a classic man and with a clean face. Have a great day everyone!

There's a better way to maintain a Rolls than what is supplied and there's an easy way to hone it. When you get it (and want to use it) let me know and I'll post. Again, the site where the data was is down so I'll need to post it here.

The Rolls yields a wonderful shave, but it's a completely different experience.

I've been interested in trying a Rolls so any and all information about it would be appreciated. Thanks ShadowsDad!

The rolls is a very interesting razor, I've heard great things about the shave.
I've also heard amazing things about wedge blade razors, I've been really interested in them. But doubt I currently have the consistent time to maintain an edge on the blades

Mine arrived today, beauty piece . Unfortunately I can't slide the blade onto the handle. I created a separate thread looking for help.

Update: problem solved.

Give me time to get it on the site wyzeOne. Basically I'll wind up just uploading my notes. Then answer questions as they're asked.

What a shame that the tread we had on TOST isn't there any more (TOST is gone). It covered the use of the Rolls in great detail.

Thanks Brian, no rush!

So as not to hijack this thread it'll be posted as another unique thread, but I'll link to it here. I probably ought to see if I haven't posted it here yet before I do it again. I might have.

I don't think it with be hijacking, it is SE related which is what this thread is for. Sort of a centralized location for all things single edged

Over the past few months I have been enjoying the vast variety offered through wet shaving, and probably spending way more than I should. But a recent thread convinced me to concentrate on my technique for awhile rather than accumulating "stuff". Having said that, I decided the best thing to do for me was to use one setup for a month and the razor in that setup is a DE.

Even though I decided to concentrate on technique, RAD hit me. These SE razors arrived this week...three days after my "technique" decision. I'm not going to use them for at least a few more weeks...gotta love that anticipation Smile. But once I do, I'm going to do the same thing...pick one and stick to it for a month.

I'm not sure what type the injector is and I think the Auto Strop is a V2. One question though...when you "lock down" the blade on the Auto Strop, should the strop feature lock as well?

Thankfully, this GEM arrived before the decision and I was able to use it once. By far the best SE shave I've received...very little irritation with this one.
