The "ONE" Blade - Which Would it Be?

Perhaps this will clarify its construction and the difficulty a loop would pose.
The upper left most picture shows it well. The band is wound around itself - see bottom right, second last photo - and fed to a spool which takes the used band.

That is really cool, I've never seen one of those. Its obviously too good and probably expensive to have lasted. Are you able to find blade cartridges? The mechanism is similar to that of the ventolin discus delivery device - it has a spool of tape that has little blisters of measured dose medicine in powdered form at regular intervals, you move a lever to advance a blister dose to the opening where you inhale it - as the tape advances it separates a layer off the tape exposing the medicine just before the inhaling opening and the now two strips of tape spool around two separate out feed spools. Ingenious.

Yes. In their original Blister Packs.

The top photo has 2 x 10, and 1 x 6 blades.
The bottom Photo (yellow) has 5 blades.

Considering the number of shaves I got from my very first blade (43), I think (hope) my subsequent blade that I am using for the "marathon" maintains a similar count. I am really sticking my neck out.

The Ventolin that you describe does seem to work the same way.

Gillette Platinum.

One and only blade I own, one and only I use (I have enough to last a lifetime!!)

Gillette Platinum is my ONE.

Though, I recently started using a couple others too, but GPs are still the best.
The others are PSI and Nacet.
PSI is not as sharp as GP.
Nacet don't last as long as GP.

As it seems to be the case for most of us, blade/razor combinations vary. Great blade in one razor may not be so great in a different razor.

Still, and while I'm still trying new blades, the one I'm liking best in any razor I have is Gillette Yellow 7 O'Clock's.

Sharp enough for me, and very, very smooth.

Definitely a blade I'll order several hundred of to be sure to always have around.

Wizamet Iridiums. Wonderful blades.

The new Polsilver Super Iridiums and Nacets are great too.

As I understand it, there are several versions of the Wizamet blade...

I have, and love, the brown and gold packaged version.

Been draining global supply of these for awhile.

Current PolSilvers, also a favorite of mine (especially with several days beard growth), are tad bit sharper IMO.

And just a bit less smooth...
