Schick Adjustable Super Chromium BAND Blade - MARATHON

(This post was last modified: 03-12-2018, 07:26 PM by Mickey ObermanSfZ2h8UM.)

The Schick Adjustable Super Chromium BAND Blade
will, I am sure, far outperform and outlast all disposable blades.

5, 6 or ten edges but uses only one edge at a time.

At the risk of making a fool of myself, at which I am quite proficient,
Tomorrow I will start a marathon with a new blade and use only one edge of it until it dies.
I think I will get 20 or more good shaves.

Schick Adjustable Super Chromium BAND Blade - MARATHON

Okay. We did it.I used the same blade, number 5, as promised and various brushes, soaps, croaps and creams.
Pre shave was a shower and then warm water only.
Most shaves were of one day's growth. four were of two day's growth. One was three day's fuzz. They were demolished with the same ease as the one day growths.
I had only three minor cuts. All on the same day - my carelessnes.
On April 12, I was treated to my 20th shave.
It was still three usual passes, no touch up.

The blade is still ready to go so I will keep on using it until it ( or I ) expire.
I will take frequent breaks to resume my much missed rotation.

My hat's off to anyone brave enough to use a band razor as I tried a Gillette Techmatic that my late father had back in the mid 70's and it was simply awful. Like shaving with a bean can lid. Cry

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

Gillette Platinum for sure. Smoother than GSBs and last twice as long in my razors.

My opinion about this has varied somewhat over the years, but at this point it would be a toss-up between the Wilkinson Light Brigade and the Personna 74 Tungsten.

Best overall, Gillette Silver Blue without a doubt.

I like the Gillette Silver Blues. They just cut my beard like a hot knife through butter and they just provide a close comfortable shave.
