I'm good, thanks Freddy :-). My apologies for the derailment.

YMMV. Winking  So much about our hobby is personal opinion and how we may react to a certain product.  To put someone down for expressing an opinion (and nowhere does golfhacker claim his hypothesis is fact) serves no purpose and dampens discussion, in my opinion.

Uh I wasn't harsh I actually agreed with him by telling him I'm not the type of person to pay triple the price for a razor. I also said people will sell for how much they ask as long as there are people that agree to pay the asking price. Not sure how was I harsh, I just spoke the truth.

This, or any, forum is stronger when people are comfortable posting their thoughts without worry that their ideas will be attacked.   The subject is not DOA to me.  I didn't even know what a Wolf razor was until this week.  It is easy enough to skip any subject you think is DOA.  If it really is DOA the thread will fade pretty quickly.

Golfhacker, thanks for posting.  The Wolf razors have been peaking my interest and I appreciate the thoughts.

Agreed. The more threads deleted or closed the more this forum will be no different from the others. I came to this board to avoid the massive censorship of others, which I experienced first hand.

I understand where the OP is coming from but understand Hector as well. There have been a number of Wolfman threads and I think being a member of multiple forums, seeing multiple threads about this topic on each, can seem like overkill. I know I've seen my fair share! Hector is a great guy. Don't let a post in a thread give you a bad idea of him. None of us know what the other might have going on to make them vent or be a little stressed.

I do hope James is able to increase his production with a new machine and machinist. I've owned 3. One through BST,one through ebay, and the other through almost a year on the wait list. Well worth the wait if I do say so myself! I way overpaid for the eBay one but at the time had money to blow. Would I do it again. Heck no! Live and learn lol.

I'm not sure why the Wolfman threads always devolve in bickering, but they do... the man makes beautiful safety razors which take time to get to perfection, plus trying to manage output and customer inquiries.

these razors are also in VERY HIGH demand with relatively low output which results in high resale prices within the shaving market....this is just how things tend to always work when the demand levels are much higher than the supply. the only way to fix this, really, is to increase the output of razors on the market.

even though I'm not in the market for a Wolfman, if I were and wanted to get one ASAP without bothering with any lists, I'd pay the premium to satisfy my needs - this is how everything works in life...safety razors and the wet shaving market aren't excluded from how the market works.

Hector is one of the most honest, and respectable gents I have come across. You guys just got off on the wrong foot.

Welcome Pete, glad to have you here. I hope we can all be friends.

As for me, I hope everyone who wants one, gets one, at a fair price or at least at a price that both party would find agreeable and a win-win.

As for what the OP said, it certainly made me think. I have my own opinion about those guys who are asking James to raise the prices.

They weird me out.

The points in the last three posts are well taken. It's time to move on and for Hector and I to each allow the other some grace.

I'm with you on this. I've never been one to ask folks to raise prices.

Wow...

I concur that Hector is a genuinely good cat. We all have our moments and triggers, no matter how hard we try to stay focused and level headed. In a forum it is easy to stomp on someone's toes without even realizing it. The important part is that we all recognize what happened and move forward respectfully. Gentlemen lose it on occasion, but the true mark is being able to come back from it and put it to rest without the hard feelings.

As for the OP... A well thought out topic. It does seem to incorporate the trends of the market in this community. Unobtainable commands a high price. As it becomes more available, invariably the market value will adjust accordingly.

Some people will always have the "gotta have it NOW" attitude, and those folks will pay for the privilege. Others will be patient and observant and jump when the planets align for them(excuse the lame metaphor).

At the end of the day there is room for everyone in this forum and community. We gotta treat each other with respect.
