And now someone on eBay supposedly has a "Wolfman Razor Bronze 1st ever made real deal here" with a Buy It Now price of $10,000.
I suppose whomever posted this is a mocking not only the prices paid for resold WRs but also the posting of pictures of high-end gear on shave forums as well.

I hear you, Hector-from everything I've heard, James is a stand-up guy and a real artisan. I'm guessing he's as perplexed by this whole price frenzy as anyone.
Full disclosure: I paid a premium for a WR because I've been unsucessful in getting on the wait list , or I missed the two minute window where they're available from time to time.
Why did I do this? Well, I asked myself what all the hours and attention that I'd have to invest to get one of these is worth. To. Me.
My decision was that it was worth the premium. To. Me.
I simply wanted the razor and I was unwilling to wait, and I paid for that luxury. The fellow from whom I bought it is getting the model he wants from James using the profit he made from me to help with that purchase.
I certainly didn't get this for any status reasons.
I've been wet shaving with a DE (and recently SE) for 40 years and change, and I've got-as many of us do-plenty of beautiful razors, both modern and vintage. I'd like to think that I'm a fairly good judge of what a well-crafted, good shaving razor is like. And I've got my preferences, of course, weight, handle size, polished vs satin, etc., etc. From everything I heard and read, much of it from people in the community I respect, the WR sounded like something with which I'd really enjoy shaving.
The Wolfman is simply outstanding: The craftsmanship is beautiful, it feels great in the hand, and it's a pleasure to use. I like it so much, I now want a straight bar to go alongside the open comb model I have. Does that make rational sense? Not really. But we all want what we want.
Now, having said all of that, I got a good chuckle out of that $10,000 eBay posting, and its not-too-gentle mockery of the WR pricing frenzy.
