I just finished an excellent first shave with the DLC Lupo.
I really like the DLC finish. It has more character than I expected and has an almost antique bronze appearance. I’m happy I got in on this last drop.
Anyone else use theirs yet? Thoughts?

I’ve been using my SS Lupo almost daily since receiving it. I also really enjoy the DLC finish and honesty prefer it over a polished finish. The DLC finish gives it a really nice grip and it feels very secure in my hands when shaving with it.

I am really enjoying my Lupo razor. It is a very smooth and irritation free razor. I like the lite weight since it is a change from my other razors.

I do have a warning for everyone about the rounded sides. Be careful as you loosen or tighten the handle onto the cap and base plate. If you hold the rounded edges as you tighten/ loosen and since the edges are not squared off, your fingers can slip around and onto the blade in front. I did this today but only got a slight cut on my thumb and pointer fingers. No big deal.

I hold the razor tight by the sides because I feared this. What I find is my fingers occasionally get pinched between the plates. No big deal either, just a bit of a pain.

I guess either way you lose. They really should have stuck with the standard of flat sides. Still a great razor.

I used the DLC SS Lupo today. I can confirm that the shave characteristics are similar to the standard gap Wolfman. I would actually give it an edge in shave quality over the Wolfman because the tolerances are tighter than my polished Wolfman and I prefer the covered tabs.

That's quite an endorsement!

I tried the lupo with different blades and even a shim, but for me it was not effective enough. In my den the Gamechanger 0.84 remains the (double edge) king.

can anyone compare the lupo to the .68 GC?

Lupo is more efficient, even more than .84.
More blade feeling than them. But still gives comfortable shave.
Lupo head is very similar to Wolfman WR1 head.
