YMMV. I agree with Galhatz - I didn't think the SS Lupo was as efficient as my GC 84 or Karve D / E plates. I ended up selling mine.

Maybe similar to the original GC 68.

I just finished shaving with the GC .68 after eight or nine consecutive days with the Lupo.  Blade feel and comfort between the two razors is similar to me, but the Lupo has the edge in efficiency and probably even comfort.  I used the same Voskhod blade in the Lupo for all eight or nine shaves, and had no weepers or nicks since the second or third shave.  Those Voskhods continue to smooth out for me through several shaves.  The GC .68 I used tonight had a once or twice used Voskhod in it.  I got a real nice shave, but had to work a little harder to get the same closeness as I've been getting with the Lupo, and I had a few small weepers on my chin and lower lip.  It was still an excellent shave though.  My skin is cool, the shave is close, and it was easy and fast.  If the GC .68 were the only razor I had, I wouldn't feel handicapped by any means.  But I have to say that the steel Lupo beats it for comfort and closeness.
