Mozingo Brushworks

Brett’s hand tied knots are fantastic.   Here is my new ZT2 24mm Fenix in Topaz.  While only 24mm it blooms and feels like a 28mm brush.  Flow through and soft tips are really excellent. 

Anybody with more thoughts on ZT2. I am thinking about sending a handle to him for a 28mm knot. Any comparisons would be much appreciated. I just go a DG b9b and it is very good.

Just got my 26mm ZT2 knot with custom Rudy Vey handle in yesterday. It’s stunning. Got a few shaves in already and this is just wonderful. Super soft, dense, great flow through, and perfect backbone. Makes a ton of lather too. Zero badger funk out of the box and already blooming after just a few uses. It’s still early, but couldn’t be happier. Shout out to Rudy Vey for this gorgeous handle too. He nailed exactly what I was looking for!

Totally agree with Will DDH’s review.

I’d absolutely recommend that you try ZT2. It’s the best knot on the market if you’re looking for soft tips with incredible density and yet still not hogging an excessive amount of lather. The wall of badger is just fantastic. Mine also had no badger stink and was awesome out of the box with no break in needed although it has only gotten better with a dozen lathers or so. I’ve got a 26mm ZT2 with another 28mm ZT2 on the way and promise it won’t be my last.

I agree with the ZT2 being an excellent knot of choice. I own a B5 as well and I put the Mozingo knot above it. It has such superb flow through and soft tips. It is getting better with each use.

Received my custom 28mm ZT2 from Brett last week - just a great knot - still breaking in, but soft with great lather flow...

  - that lack of a coin was the only thing that made it custom - and worth it to me!

Well and truly despise the medallion - probably what has prevented buying one of his brushes so far
