I kind of had a feeling when watching the review videos from TSS that it would work with the way I was shaving with the BBS-1 head. I am curious though how much a different blade will feel after finishing my trial shaves with the Kai.zaclikestoshave Wrote:Video on Focus Tritok R52 ConcaveThis model too has a sharp angle geometry.
On my R51 It took some time to me to master.
Over this, great razors.

If you are in Europe, there are a few retailers or you could purchase directly from them in Italy. I'm in California and waited for The Superior Shave to receive their stock. I think as time goes by, they will have all the options with different colors.

My first thought was "Isn't this razor supposed to be super mild? Will it work with that monstrous lather?" And zaclikestoshave seemed to think the same for a second there.
Any thoughts on the razor? Or are you waiting for more shaves?
The razor mentioned at the beginning by ischiapp was the mild version which is the R51. The R52 razor felt fine to my skin allow there was a couple spots where I got a bit of razor burn but I don't know if that was due to the fresh kai or my pressure. I'm sure it was user error but it was a close and efficient shave. I was reading a few comments recently in another thread that was telling someone to give the shave details after one shave and claiming they couldn't gain much more thought waiting to get a few more shaves in. I tend to prefer using new stuff a bit more before giving my review. I can say I really want to get back to using my Carbon razor soon which I have only had 5 shaves with so far. I do promise to get some more shaves in soon with this razor and give you more details. All I can say to conclude is that I didn't buy any new razors in a while but after seeing posts about the Carbon and Tritok, I had a feeling they would be razors I would enjoy. So I do like them but I will have to use them more before I can really say how well they work for me.
PS-Many might think I go a bit crazy with the lather and that it may seem thick but I try to push it a bit past the hydrated stage. That isn't always what I get but typically I try to get it a bit runny. But if you are referring to when I pause and look closely at it, I was double checking the blade and underneath it to make sure it wasn't clogging. It was rinsing out well and had no issues with that.
