Any takers on the Ti Osprey pre-order?

I ordered but really want the black numbering and that is not being offered on the titanium model. I sent them a message about it and they responded that they are working on it and will add it to my order if they are able to do it before mine ships.

Does anyone want to do a side by side between the Rocnel Sailor and Osprey (in SS)?
The comparison would be even more relevant if done in Ti but that won't be possible for
a few months, at least.

There is a significant price differential between the Ti versions of Sailor and Osprey.
Osprey is fully made in USA where labour costs are considerably higher and it comes in $200 cheaper

Rocnel says processing costs for Ti are lower and yet Sailor Ti costs about $200 more than the Osprey.

Did you get the polished version? Interested to hear your thoughts on this one. Pics of the polished look great. Still on the fence with this one tho. Once again, you can be my guinea pig.

I did a shave off when I had the ti hybrid adjustable and osprey SS. Osprey has low blade feel/exposure even on the highest setting very unlike the Sailor. Both are effective and can provide good shaves. Osprey is definitely more comfortable and will have a broader appeal.

Great info. Just pushing my luck with another question:
When you opened both up to the highest setting (5 Sailor, 9 Osprey), would you say there were at par
in terms of efficiency?

Nope. Sailor on setting 3 is more effecient than osprey on max. At the cost of comfort. My next adjustable will be the osprey ti....just waiting for the black lettering and/or deeper number grooves so I can do it myself.

My best shaves with the Sailor are around the 2 or 3 setting so that's good to know.

Has anyone been able to compare the Sailor to the Rex Ambassador as to efficient and comfort results?
RAD is just a permanently temporary condition.  I'll get over it.. eventually.

You'll get more responses if you put this in the official Rocnel Sailor thread.
