Question about future iterations of the Osprey... Shane would probably be in the best position to know.

Do you think it might be theoretically possible to increase the overall efficiency range
of the razor? Or are these existing parameters baked into the design permanently?

Just want to know whether it's possible, not whether you would want do it.

It’s technically possible, but would require fairly significant changes. I can’t see a world where we would do this and I don’t think there is a reason to. So far, it seems like very few customers use their Ospreys on the max level.

I thought this was an interesting comparison between Osprey and Sailor which answers my question posed earlier.

https://www.badgerandblade.com/forum/thr...t-12453407

"Apples and Oranges. So, I tried to find setting on the Sailor to compare against the Osprey. They are very different razors and they turned out to be pretty hard to compare. The Sailor has more blade feel through out the range.

I went to overclocked "9" to compare the to the 9 setting and the Sailor was very aggressive compared to the Osprey at this setting. The gaps look big on both but the blade feel is so much more on the Sailor.

I dialed back to 5 on the Sailor for the neck and it felt a lot more aggressive than the 5 on the Osprey but way more comfortable than 3 did on the Osprey. I dialed back the Sailor to 3 and that felt a lot like 5 on the Osprey with a bit more blade feel.

Hard to compare totally different razors. The Osprey is an Osprey and the Sailor is a Sailor. Two absolutely great razors. The Sailor can be much more aggressive and the Osprey can become more mild. Though, my neck didn't agree as much with the milder range of the Osprey."

Yes, I received the same response yesterday. If it works and Shane Blackland Razors can make it work, that would be awesome. If not, it won't break the deal for me. I'm stoked for this Ti version regardless. The Hi-Visibility option would have made it easier on my eyes and given it a more pleasing aesthetic look. It will not enhance the performance of the razor, just the look and feel of a more polished/finished product.

Here's the response he sent via email:

Hi Augustin,

Thank you for reaching out and for your pre-order! The Hi-Vis Black option is not currently offered for titanium, but it's possible this may change. If black becomes available before your pre-order ships, we will happily change your order to that option for no additional charge. We're investigating this option now and I hope to have a resolution soon.

I hope that helps, Augustin! Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you!

I'm one of those few that use it on max.  Shaved 3 days in a row on 9 and I love it.  Wish it went to 11 to be honest!!! Sent it in to get the black lettering and deeper grooving for the numbers.  Missing it already, but just received the Sabre Level 2 in its place while it's getting the upgrade.

Any news on the potential hi-visibility option with the Osprey Ti? And is the launch still on for late March/early April?

Thank you in advance Shane.

Hi-Vis is now available on Osprey Ti. We'll be emailing pre-order customers this week about this. Everything is still on schedule! Production is wrapping up soon and then it's on to finishing, inspection, assembly, packaging, and shipping.
