A few points about this:
  • This paper is 26 years old. There has been quite a lot of research since that has strongly indicated allergenic/sensitization potential with topical application of lanolin
  • Even if that were not true, the perception exists that lanolin is a sensitizing material. As I said to another artisan many years ago, truth is irrevelant when it comes to marketing. All that matters is perception; people create their own realities out of what they believe to be true, and frequently resist any attempts to challenge or change those beliefs, even if it's to correct a mistake.
  • Even if neither of the above things were true, cupuaçu butter is just a much better moisturizer. Smile

One of the most beautiful floral composition made by Will imho, for sure one of my favorite - not just in wetshaving. Classy and manly without being too austere or obnoxious, perfect.
Also, while I think that Omnibus is a better overall base, I’ve to say that PP8 is aging really fine, like a good wine

Happy leap day all!

It feels like we released this soap a thousand years ago. Big Grin Glad to hear that it has held up so well!

Yikes, B&M is discontinuing Cologne Russe, one of my favorite soaps.  Of course, the good news is that they are also discontinuing Full Measure of Mrs. Butterworths. Cry

I could not possibly disagree more. Present the facts and the rest is up to the reader.

Well, I like Lime scents so I ordered a sample of the new soap. I was wondering if there will be a Lime AS soon to follow?   Huh

There will indeed! We're just going to do a splash for now, but, if the scent proves to be really popular, we may add a balm as well. Smile

The problem with lime, or any citrus scent for that matter, is that they usually have the longevity of a fart in a whirling dervish. Good luck.

Posting Freak
I’ll try the new lime when it finds its way north. I do like a nice lime and the scent notes for this one are very appealing. My old man brain can’t quite get a handle on the last lime soap B&M made. White tub, three note name, lime something Vetiver?? I recall it being very nice. I’m not going to go rummaging about looking to see if I still have it. I’m pretty sure I do. Smile
