Wondering how those of you who have would compare the results of these two razors.

Todd, they are completely different shavers.

The Pils is very top-heavy, mid-aggressive razor and beautifully crafted.
I had two, but sold both as I didn't enjoy how heavy the razor was at the head. The shaves were fine, but I much prefer other razors.

The OneBlade is even milder than the Pils, but you don't have to concentrate very much during your shaves. It shaves well enough, but it just didn't work out for me for various reasons.

Both are fine shavers and the only way you'll find out which is best suited to you, unfortunately, is to try them. As they say, YMMV.
Good luck. Shy

As I’ve been following this thread and all the valid points that have been made about the OneBlade as of late, I realized at some stage that the research and development that has gone into the OneBlade seems to be very solid. It seems that there’s a reason for how every little detail was implemented in this razor. And many who own one seem to regard it as one of their favorite razors, if not the favorite.

So while it’s clear that the company behind the razor has fumbled with the recent issue at hand, which is regrettable in many ways, the razor itself — when manufactured correctly — is still a beautiful, functional piece of modern design. And one that seems to have no equivalent at present time.

Just some thoughts.

I'm fairly certain OneBlade is following this thread. Guess what I received this morning? An email from them that says the following:

Quote:Dear andrewjs18,

Thank you for your patience. We've recently inspected and tested our reserve units from a previous production run. These razors will not have any quality issues and can be exchanged for your current razor. However, we only have a limited number of these razors for replacements and our website will continue to indicate that we are out of stock until we complete the manufacturing of a larger number of razors.

I've attached a FedEx return label to this email. Please carefully pack the razor, stand, and leather container in a suitable box when preparing to return it to us. Once we receive it, we will send you a new, updated razor to the address on your previous order. Your 30 day money back policy will begin upon shipment of your new razor.

Please let us know if you have any questions and I'll be happy to help you.

Sincerely,

It would've been better if they called you by your forum name. Are you going for a replacement or refund?

decided to throw a despined GEM in my defective OneBlade before packaging it up to go back.  The smile is so bad that the center of the GEM ALMOST touches the bottom plate of the razor head....

Not the kind of smile you’re happy to see…. Hoping the replacement arrives quickly and fixes the matter.
