Hello Gentlemen,

This is pure speculation. I would like your opinion/feeling on the following.

I may be wrong but don't you think that OneBlade may launch something new in October 15?

À couple of months ago, the company offered a special discount on the OneBlade alone. Months before, it offered a discount on a package including the OneBlade + T&H products. From a sale to another, the customer benefit was increasingly high. Now the OneBlade is out of stock. I am surprised of such situation since the company has always managed its business very professionally.

It looks like the company was seeking to stock off the OneBlade to "clean" the place for something new.

What do you think?

I think their razors are only 'out of stock' because a few of us have noticed that they're defective and let them and others know about it.

OneBlade has been constantly on sale from the day it was launched. It like everyone other week you can get a discount, you just need to look for them. Its not like they are advertised on their webpage. It means nothing.

Can't remember the last time they were out of stock but the wave of defective OneBlades may explain this as mention above.

CEO Tod Barrett said in a recent interview:
“We have been continuing our development efforts in three areas, Razors, Blades and accessories. We are planning to announce additional products in each of these categories for 2017.” (emphasis added)

The current “out of stock” is surely because of quality issues with the current stock.

http://sharpologist.com/2016/09/interview-oneblade.html Also note the comments about the expensive

"The best analogy for me is in the realm of cars and driving. In most cases, a Ford F150 will work just fine to get you from point A to point B. However, the potential enjoyment that you can have making that same trip in a Porsche, Mercedes, Land Rover or you name your favorite late model high end car, is dramatically greater. The difference is multi-faceted – the handling, the quality of the ride, the audio experience, the sense of control and protection, the confidence, and the distinction of choosing the best. Our customer is the proven adventurer, he is confident, inclined towards discovery and takes on challenges with the goal of experiencing the best that life has to offer. Our customer owns the very best tools and he gains satisfaction in learning how to use them proficiently.

and the feathers. I don't see an answer to the question.

"Why did OneBlade become the exclusive North American distributor of that blade?

... We certainly have customers ask us about the reliability of supply. Our goal with Jatai, and ultimately Feather is to continue to grow a closer and more strategic relationship with them. Feather is a very profitable company that has been in business for over 70 years and is fairly diversified in their business activities. About as stable of a supplier as one can get these days."

That's not an answer but it looks like Mantic thinks they are the sole distributor. Hmm, then how did tryablade and Maggards get them?

Things continue to make better sense. In my mind, there is no doubt the they have an exclusive for the FHS 10s. OneBlade would have corrected him if it weren't true and Sharpologist probably would not have been so definite if it weren't true.

grim, the other US suppliers are probably getting them on the gray market. Possibilities would be to buy entire lots at lower pricing on eBay, get them from from other companies in the UK, Japan or another country.

just checked the tracking, my defective OneBlade was delivered back to their Texas location on Monday, September 26th at 8:24am. I haven't heard anything from them yet about receiving the return and/or sending out the replacement.

truly maddening for a luxury item, IMHO.
