For what it's worth, I'm now recommending the OneBlade to friends, coworkers ... anyone who I think would appreciate it (and be willing to pay the upfront cost for it). If I think someone would benefit from wet shaving and they just want the "best experience" and be done with it, I'm now going to start with the OneBlade. Getting a great shave with very little trouble makes the best case for ditching carts and electrics.
And I'll almost certainly be keeping mine, too, and making it part of a rotation of "weekday razors."
I still value the skill that goes into using other razors: that's a big part of the fun and satisfaction of shaving as a hobby. I think a lot of my consternation about how the OneBlade fit in is that I got it just a week after receiving the Mongoose, which I'd only started to get to know, and honestly, I think I'd overwhelmed myself in all my eagerness. Plus now I'm trying out the Feather SS straight razors... typical me: diving in full-force and kind of overdoing it.
