WSP Formula T

My mainstays are Mike's and CRSW these days with a pot or two of Tallow & Steel & Jabonman on hand right now.

I remember the WSP brushes I had back in 2012 but never tried the soap. I have been rotating the newer WSP Formula T Barbershop and True Lavender all week.

These soaps are wonderful performers on all levels. Shave and post. The lack of lanolin is not a negative at all. The tallow and shea shine here. Great post shave and I don't find these scents overpowering a bit. The True Lavender (Bulgarian Lavender EO) might be the nicest Lavender I have shaved with. Not floral just a clean, earthy Lavender. Compliments Mike's Hungarian scent nicely.

The soaps are cured properly eliminating all water in the puck. You get a lot of soap for $15. I've used some artisan soaps that aren't cured long enough. They deteriorate too quickly.

The one complaint I read about before ordering were the small tins. I love them! Packed to the brim with soap, functional for a face latherer like myself...really nice for home and travel.

I don't know...I absolutely hate the small tins...I have some soaps with similar tubs/tins like what Lee uses with WSP and the soap flings all over the place when I'm loading my brush..a waste of product, IMHO.

I think the formula T scents are fantastic-in particular the mahogany and tobacco, but I also didn't like the small tins. And for me they didn't perform as well as some of the others you mentioned (ie Mike's, CRSW Select, and Jabonman). Overall good though.

The small tins would be too much of a problem for me. I hated lathering Klar Seifen in the small dinky tin that it came in. Don't want to go down that road again. If it was a cream, it might still work since I wouldn't be loading on the puck. But not a regular soap.

A notch below CRSW & Mike's but that's reflected in the price. I love CRSW's new jars but also have no problem loading from WSP's tins. More concerned with the actual soap.

Definitely true re price to performance. I agree that container is not a deal breaker, and I'm not generally too particular, but I do appreciate when a maker goes the extra mile with attention to all details.

As the claim is a highly concentrated, extra dense soap, is the result a faster load? Less time required to load on the puck could alleviate some of the my concern about the size of tin.

WSP soaps do load pretty quickly. I can generally get a two pass face and head shave with about a 15-20 load time. Still easily enough left over for a third pass. Formula T has become one of my favorites. I agree about the tins, they could use some more head room. The stuff loads so easily, it doesn't bother me much though.

I actually like the smaller tins for travel, I travel a lot for work, I also have some old phoenix in the same tins, it's nice to have options that take up less room, I have a ton of soaps that come in larger containers. WSP make great products, slick lather and like others have said easy to load
