Invoice payed with Tara on Titanium .86 SB Looking forward to the Wolfman Wr4 Experience, Most anticipated razor of 2023 for me! I think James did an amazing job in designing this Artist Club SE razor. Pictures will follow once I receive it.
This is the first bronze WR4 sold. It is a .86mm gap SB with a WRH7XL/3. It landed early afternoon yesterday. I had 30hrs of growth and wanted to get a quick shave in, just to play with it. As I mentioned, this is my first SE. Loaded with a Schick Proline the 86 is consistent and positive. Never any question where it is. It has been a minute since I used a WR1 but it reminds be a lot of an 86WR1. Very smooth and easily removes hair. The additional width of blade was interesting. Kinda felt like shaving with a mini squeegee. I don't care for handling the blades, especially unloading. Seems like a sliced digit at some point. The head seemed to kinda be suctioned together and required a little care to separate and get the blade out. I love the finish. It's very impressive. Looks almost like a mirror polish with a clear coating in places. Not at all what I expected (more opaque). Overall....pleasantly surprised by the razor. I went ahead and jumped back on the list for another one. I'd like a couple more gaps (baseplates). Maybe a 1.0 and a .74. I'll use this one exclusively for a bit and see how that changes.

Good to hear that the Prolines now fit. I've been rinsing out the head before taking it apart with the prototype. Have a couple more shaves before moving it on.
Curious why you are picking WR1 gaps not .70, .80, .90 etc - was this gap suggested by James? I was able to order two baseplates SB and OC with my order.
Looks great in bronze - I was tempted by bronze but really liked the light weight of the prototype. Not paid the invoice so have time to change my mind...

It's not a pass around, I'm just borrowing it from my friend. The La Faulx is a great razor but if I could only get one it would be the Wolfman.

I did not see a published list of gaps so assumed "anything" was on the table. Looking at the photos of the 4 head, I assumed it would shave closer to a WR1 than a WR2. After that, WR1 gaps kinda made sense....to me anyway. Doing a comparison shave with both heads should be more precise if gaps are like...maybe. Flawed logic, perhaps.
