Is there any advantage of one over another in regards to shaving?

thx

My experience with those metals is derived from tattoo machines, and Mauviel French tin lined copper cookware.

Copper is an attractive metal but relatively soft and subject to scratches, and of course patina. Brass is similar, but I'd say not quite as soft.

Bronze is another alloy from the same family as the above, but, at least in tattoo machines it is harder, less subject to bending if dropped. A stronger metal because of the alloys that differentiate it from the other two. It is also subject to patina.

Here's everything you wanted to know but afraid to ask  Smile

I personally think he will get more requests for the Bronze and Copper versions from people willing to spend that kind of money, but certainly he will sell a lot of Ti razors regardless of what he charges for them!!

He needs to drop price, otherwise he can't survive.

It is true that Blackbird @ $300, Timeless in the same ballpark for machine finish, and now Muhle with their limited edition in the $200 USD range. Unless James includes mirror finish as an option, I wonder how many will pay a premium just to say their Ti razor is a Wolfman ? I'm curious to see what the final price will be.

Personally, I’m only interested in buying a quality tool to shave with… The collectibility factor does nothing for me. I agree there are some great shaving Ti razors in the $300-$350 price range. In addition to the one’s mentioned above Carbon shaving also offers a smooth operating Ti at a reasonable price point.

For some strange reason I want that 4 fanged OC. I have solid 100mm WRH1 that would prolly pair well with the extra weight on the head. That head in a 94 gap would be fun.

Anyone seen weight specs?
Will it be offered for sale?

I missed that ... what exactly is a 4 fanged OC ? Is it something James made ?

It's certainly different. Yeah, that would be cool to have I suppose.  Thanks for posting the pix, I missed them first time around somehow. Wink

Not strange at all. That thing is awesome. The only downside would be being restricted to WTG shaving under the nose, though I guess the fangs are wide apart enough that you could conceivably go ATG, with the fangs going up your nostrils and around the edges of your nose. XD

They don't always look like this...only during a full moon shave.
