If the Timeless razor had a shorter or thinner head I might not be able to tell the difference with a blindfold on by the feel of the shave alone.

I had a regular gap Wolfman, ordered the reduced gap when I caught an open sale and am very happy with it.

Haven't heard from the chap who I sold the regular gap to recently, but he liked the first few goes with it.

The polished finish off a Wolfman is incredible. I wish I would have such with the brushed finish though. It's tough to keep the polished ones spot free.

Beauty, worth, and value are in the eye of the beholder.

Standard gap, OC Wolfman did not work for me. I was lucky that I did not have to sit on a list for a year to find this out, and paid a very reasonable amount for it. But it's beauty was undeniable. Stunning razor and felt great in hand. Perhaps the reduced gap would have been better for me. Is the razor really worth waiting for? Yes of course, if you really want one.

I have the OC Wolfman in the standard gap, and have had for a few years now (not long after he introduced them). It's among my favorite razors. Two design elements I really appreciate are the low-profile head, which makes it much easier to get those hairs directly under the nose; and that the razor clamps the blade down solidly and pretty close to the cutting edge, which greatly reduces "chatter" and for me makes for a smooth shave similar to a slant or an SE.

That said, it's still a razor that will bite me a bit if I'm not careful (to be fair, I have nick-friendly skin), and at the moment I'm appreciating other razors with a milder yet still efficient design.

Interesting to read all the comments. I have a standard gap wolfman with OC/SB combo and it is the most beautifully made razor I own. That said, I rarely use it because its one of the most aggressive razors I own and I tend to prefer a milder razor. I find that I have to pay very close attention when using it because the Wolfman has teeth and can bite if your mind wanders or if your mind doesn't wander. Is it worth the wait? I suppose so if you have your heart set on one. I think anyone who has waited a long time and likes a mild razor might be disappointed with the purchase. I noticed Wolfman posted on twitter earlier this week about available stock. I don't live on my phone so the post was 8 hours old when I saw it and I did check the website out of curiosity but everything was long gone by then and I couldn't even guess what was available and for how long.

Does a BBS-1 offer the same shave or is it different - more mild?

I am annoyed that the production delays have persisted for so long. Communication is also lacking. If I could get on the magic list and place an order would I do so? Yes. He should just keep his list open. Who cares if your production appointment is two years away. At least you would know you are on the list. What I want (Copper, reduced blade gap 0.59mm, etc.) is too specific to appear with the random sales. I do own a Wolfman and would like another but that isn't stopping me from buying other items for my collection. I just got an Oristo this week and would like to purchase the brass version of the General along with the upcoming TR-2 from Barbaros.

They seem to be beautiful razors, from the pictures I have seen, but I HIGHLY doubt that they shave any better than the vintage razors I own.

Does a BBS-1 offer the same shave or is it different - more mild?

It's not the same (although the end result can be BBS in both cases), I might be a minority but I preferred the Wolfman above the BBS-1. It was to angle specific and needed some pressure to obtain maximum result.

I use my Wolfman all the time and still love it. Only razor I own that I prefer to use is the Mergress
