It's not the same (although the end result can be BBS in both cases), I might be a minority but I preferred the Wolfman above the BBS-1. It was to angle specific and needed some pressure to obtain maximum result.
Yup, completely different shaves. Someone I know on Facebook got the BBS-1 and after two shaves he sold it. Then he got a Wolfman and it became his grail, the best shaver on earth. It was funny talking to him because I had the opposite experience. BBS-1 was the smoothest shaver, no problems, easy to dial in the angle, flawless. I could never get that great of a shave with the standard gap wolfman. However, we'll see because I opted for a reduced gap and it is on the way now.
