I have had the new Guerrilla for a week now. During that time I have shaved with it four times switching back and forth twice with one of the original SB Guerrillas. All shaves were with the same Feather blade. I change my blade every Monday regardless of how many shaves are on it.
A couple of things to note. The new Guerrilla loads the blade on the cap instead of the baseplate and the loading posts are much more pronounced. That in itself is enough to make me like the new design better as I hate loading on the baseplate. The new design is also heavier and balances more toward the handle than the original design. Grip is quite good even without any knurling.
I find the new design shave to be quite mild with little blade feel. Angle is quite easy to find and there is very little blade noise. For me the new design shaves very much like a good cartridge razor. It is efficient enough while being very comfortable, you can press as hard as you want with little fear of getting nicked and, if you like to buff to a BBS shave during touch ups, you can do so without irritation.
Compared to the old design, I find the new design more comfortable with less blade noise while also being a lot easier to find and maintain the best cutting angle.
