What soap/cream did you use today?

Shaving with Martin de Candre is so slick and easy it feels like a cosmic joke, and I’m starting to get the punch line. Seven of the last eight shaves have been with this brand. Each lather is richer than the last, each shave is more comfortable. What more proof do I need that the universe really does love us? As for my skin, well, it’s smoother than a politician’s promise. No burn, no rash, no bloodshed to speak of. It’s just me and my razor dancing cheek to cheek, close enough to scandalize the neighbors. The shaves are so close, in fact, that I have to spend a full twenty-four hours waiting for my follicles to conjure up enough whiskers to justify another go.
