Vétyver v. (Martin de Candre) vulcanized vetiver

The puck still smells a little rubbery, maybe even a little sulfuric. It sort of reminds me of stepping into the showroom at my local Firestone dealer. Luckily that rubbery reek doesn't linger in the lather, which smells mostly of mild vetiver (think of Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver with all the citrusy bits stripped away). The finest smelling vetiver in my stable? Not really. But its slick lather and dependability keep me coming back. The finish is lean but very clean, and it works well on a sticky day.

Talbot Coles Pond

MdC Vetyver is what’s in the bowl.  It still has the “Firestone” scent bouki describes but also as he reports that smell dissipates quickly.  Great shave as expected.
