Big thanks. Dan Law

The lather on the hand is from my face only after face lathering . The lather on the brush is tertiary to the removal of the face lather.

This stuff is easy to build, smells great, slick - but the post is what makes this top tier and elite.

Dan, this is going to be solidly in my rotation.

Geo. F. Trumper’s Sandalwood Shaving Cream

This was the first time I’ve tried Trumper’s. A friend got rid of some of his shaving goods, which is how I ended up with this. The slickness was good. That was about the only positive. Lather looked dry even when hydrated. No protective cushion during the shave. Skin felt worn, dry and tight after the shave. And the scent is a synthetic something that has little to do with Sandalwood.

If anyone else wants to give this a try, it’s yours for the price of shipping. The jar is a little more than 3/4 full, and has never been loaded from directly.

I take it that your tub did not have the chemically, burnt smell that my did. Lucky man!

Not sure what happened.... I originally had their Grapefruit before there was a rage for their stuff. Excellent, light, airy, clean grapefruit scent. That's it.

Then when they released new scents, I bought pretty much all of them, and they all had that chemically smell that I referred to at the top.... even the replacement tub of Grapefruit.

good lather has no suds

Morning Ghost t. (Cold River Soap Works) citrusy vetiver

Along with the sweet orange and vetiver, Cold River has tucked in some interesting wood notes of amyris and Ho wood. They take the edge off the vetiver, which can be quite bitter served up all on its own. I've left this pot of soap uncorked all day, and it's filled the whole house with smells of fresh earthiness. Very nice.
