This is the old (good) stuff (IIRC the mentholated version ran from about 1970 to 1976 or thereabouts) so there isn't much scent left (nor any detectable menthol cooling either). There is something that may just be the soap base itself, but that's all. However, what it lacks in scent and cooling, it more than makes up for in quality of lather. Super thick. Super cushioning and the residual slickness is phenomenal. Great post shave face-feel. No tightness or dryness. These older pucks can go head-to-head with anything today (and beat out a lot of them). The closest modern soap I've found to it would be CBL Soaps "Tonsorial" line.
