I read both this and your last post about Oxford & Cambridge with interest.  May I please ask how you loaded the brush and built the lather?

I read both this and your last post about Oxford & Cambridge with interest.  May I please ask how you loaded the brush and built the lather?

Mike, this is an old tallow-based puck of Oxford & Cambridge made by Valobra. I loaded a damp brush by swirling it 100 times over the puck. Then I built the lather on my palm, adding water until I had a thick cream. It came together with no effort at all. The slickness was good, but the cushion was splendid. I scraped it all off with the Alpha Spirit razor you recommended (yeah, I bought it after all!). One pass, with the grain, was enough to leave me clean for ten hours.
