This soap doesn’t smell like your grandpa’s Meerschaum pipe tobacco, all sweet and crusted over with 19th-century nostalgia. There's no cherry syrup, plum sauce, or vanilla extract in Le Tabac. Nope. This is the real stuff. Bitter tobacco. Woody. A little sappy. More cigar than pipe. Just cured leaf and not much else. It lathers up like a dream, of course. Thick as yesterday’s Oxford & Cambridge, but slicker. You could frost a cinnamon bun with it.
Also, in unrelated but nevertheless thrilling news, my new lure box is keeping my blades rust-free. So far, anyway. Always remember to celebrate the little victories.
