D R Harris almond puck. Rub puck directly on the stubble as if a shave stick. Fabulous soap. Easier application that loading brush in tub. And MUCH cheaper than buying a Harris stick.

Traditionnel v. (Le Père Lucien) lemon, rosemary, thyme, lavender, eucalyptus

I started out my shave with another soap, LPL’s Oud Santal (2017), but it made such a lousy lather that I binned it and pulled out LPL Traditionnel (2019) again. When I got done I decided to prune my soap stock, culling those that made inferior lathers or that had lost their scent. Nearly a dozen old tubs are now clean and ready to receive new pucks. Just in time, too, since a few new soaps from France and Germany are on the way. But it will be hard to put this Traditionnel down. This is the latest version of LPL’s soap base, and it makes a far superior lather to earlier offerings from that artisan. In fact, as you’ve seen, I could happily use it every day with a mild, mild razor and a very sharp blade.

Bravo. It's hard letting a soap go, even when you know is inferior. I usually toss it in a box, then hem and haw for a long time.

What's worse is when you receive the soap and there's something so horrible you have to immediately bin it. You watch $10, $20, even $30 go immediately in the trash. It's sad, but it's part of this hobby, I guess.

Good luck with the new batch of soaps Bouki. Hope they are as wonderful as your Traditionnel.
