Kerosene - Summer of 1984
This summer I greatly enjoyed the grapefruit scent of Ariana & Evans' Pamplemouse soap. Kind of uplifting. So, I figured I'd try a pineapple scent. Summer of 1984 was my choice because reviewers so often talk about how it is natural, good pineapple. It sure is pineapple. Smells like juicy pineapple going on and it pretty much stays like that for a long, long time. But I realize, after trying my decant today, that I don't want to smell like pineapple. So, basically, this is good stuff but not going to be a purchase.

Speaking of A&E, I was hoping to find that ananas vibe in SoCal Hipster AS but it really isn’t what I was searching for, a lot of hideous coconut is what I get the most... Bummer since I quite enjoy their formula, not tacky at all and with the right % of alcohol to me - which is basically none.
Never tried anything from Kerosene, have you had other experiences with it?
Thx!
Old Fashioned half bourbon half rye

Never tried the A&E SoCal Hipster splash but there is a Pamplemouse splash. I do like alcohol for when I use aftershave -- which, these days, is probably every third shave -- so A&E's splashes have never won me over. They are also pretty heavy on the scent.
As for Kerosene, I've tried a few. The house is known for a somewhat industrial ethos but most of its best known scents are gourmand. I've tried Unknown Pleasures which smells like lemon cake, lemon tart -- really does; Follow and Followed which are very realistic coffee scents; and now Summer of '84 - pure pineapple.
