Scentsless Shaver
Oakland, ME
I won the bidding on a 1964 J 4 Gillette adjustable. I think it's a Slim, but the seller didn't list it as such. Seller frequents yard sales and sells some finds on the Bay. I'm already corresponding with Jay at Delta Echo Razor Works for the razor!

I just can't seem to resist some of these old soaps.  I have a vintage (very old) Williams Rose shave soap coming.

I have a UFO Bronze Godzilla XL razor handle coming.  It'll be good to have one again; I still regret very much my sale of bronze and brass UFO handles a couple years ago.

I always seem to have too much coming in the mail at once, but just bought a Seygus razor that has me very intrigued!

Also, I'm excited about this find that I wasn't expecting:

The bowl and soap look to be in outstanding shape!

As if I didn't already have a problem with shaving soap, now I've discovered a fondness for vintage shaving soaps.  Rolleyes

That looks in exceptional NOS condition, Rob. Congratulations.

Not heard of that soap. I'm guessing, like most vintage soaps, there's no ingredients list?

Thank you, David! I don't actually have the soap in my hands yet, but it is supposed to come with the original box. So, maybe there will be an ingredient list. The seller listed it to be from the 1960's, but I had thought it was from the 50's. It is made by Wrisley and I tried a sample of Wrisley soap(from a kind & generous friend) that I found to be excellent. I'm not sure if this is the same, but in this condition and at the purchase price, I couldn't resist.

I will post in the soap and creams sub-forum after I receive it and let you know the details.

PS:
I forgot to mention that I've seen repeated references that Wrisley is re-branded Yardley, but have found no actual proof of that.
