Well I wouldn't consider Wolfman, OneBlade, RR, just to throw a few names, junk. Vintage are fun to use, but I'll take one of my Wolfman's any day over them.

Plus, I am often on concalls when posting [oops]. When distracted I don't always seem to make a lot of sense.

Apologies in tomorrow. Smile

I've got mostly vintage now, but I may one day work my way up to an expensive new razor. I do like the "soul" embedded in older razors, but I can also see the allure of getting a new one and giving it its soul. My latest acquisition is a reasonably priced Gillette adjustable. It's a nice, convenient, affordable way to see how aggressive a razor I might like. It also shaves great.

I want to like Vintage more. They have been hit or miss for me though. My EJDE89 gives me super close and comfortable shaves with almost every blade I put in it. My LC NEW and Slim give just as close shaves, just as comfortable, and not selective with blades. I could live with one of those three for the rest of my life and not want for anything.
I keep trying to make the Red Tip and the SC NEW work and they just don't. They are my two best looking vintage razors and the ones I was really hoping I could use for an extended period. The Red Tip is SUPER COMFORTABLE but I can't get BBS shaves with it. The NEW shaves super close, I just can't get comfortable shaves with it. Oh well...at least I have three that I totally love. I'm thinking about trying the 34cHD just for kicks.

Vintage Razor Fan
Southwestern NY
I started out last year with a Merkur 34C HD and a Feather Popular. Last January, I started picking up vintage DE's. Now, I'm picking up vintage injectors and other SE's. I think I've firmly fallen into the vintage rabbit hole! Vintage!

That said, ATT, Wolfman, and etc look like really incredible razors! Uh-oh!!!!

Welcome, brother Smile

So many great tools in TWS world today. Many metal and shiny. How are we supposed to resist? I told my wife one time when showing her a new razor and her asking what was wrong with my current razors:

"Nothing. But look at this thing? It's SS and sharp. The only thing missing to round out the trifecta of things men like is a flame. If a razor comes out that has one, I would order that too!"

Not amused.
