Three more vintage razors on the way.
1965 Gillette Slim Adjustable

Recieved the 1965 K-1 Slim Adjustable yesterday and it's all cleaned up and loaded with a Spoiler for my shave later this morning. Just checked the tracking on the ER-24 and it will be in my mailbox this afternoon. The ER-1912 just left Florida. I can tell it's gonna be a great Shave today with the Slim, And it's my Birth year razor just like my 1965 K-4 Flare Tip. I like my Superspeeds, but I've missed not having a Slim Adjustable for the last 3 years since I sold my last one that was also 1965 vintage.

Hector how'ed shaving with your Red Tip go yesterday. What year is it?, mines a 1955.

So many great tools in TWS world today. Many metal and shiny. How are we supposed to resist? I told my wife one time when showing her a new razor and her asking what was wrong with my current razors:

"Nothing. But look at this thing? It's SS and sharp. The only thing missing to round out the trifecta of things men like is a flame. If a razor comes out that has one, I would order that too!"

Not amused.

That would be great. Just think you could light and enjoy a good cigar while you shave.

Hey Clayton- congrats on the Slim. My birth year too [K2 is my quarter]. The one Slim that I have never let go. Not mint but close; I need to break it out for a shave I think.

I've got a mix of vintage and modern. They all have their place and it's fun to swap about between the two.

Very nice! I have to look up the code. Such an easy razor to use. I did two good passes, irritation free and very smooth.

Don't you just love how utterly pragmatic a woman can be about our stuff? I'm now being asked about razors in the same questioning way as my CCW pistols, ham radio equipment, fly fishing rods, golf clubs, fountain pens, and other stuff that I can't even recall. Oy vey, If I've heard the question once I've heard it a thousand times in 58 years of marriage, "What will this (insert specific item) do that what you already have won't"? You know, it's awfully hard to answer that question most of the time.

If you have a Gillette Spoiler Blade load it. I got a smooth comfortable shave from mine this morning. Almost thought I forgot to load the blade and I had it on the #5 setting. Spoilers sure are smooth.

I enjoy both, but lean toward my vintage Gillettes. That being said, my ATT S1 is one of the smoothest and efficient razors I have, and the quality is fantastic.
