My perspective is B11 have an excellent backbone , scrubby just excellent and soft too.
For me its a standard .
B 14 is excellent too. Less backbone / B11 but stay good backbone if i compare to B13 , a brush very floppy... For me.
And a very good density too like b11 but perhaps more souple and soft.
Its really call our proper sensation and by définition very subjective.
For me B11 and B14 are very excellent. Different but very good .
I am not an expert . Just m'y feeling.

I had a SV brush that lost a few hairs on almost every use and after 2 or so years I finally got feed up and yanked the knot and had Scott put a B14 knot in. Always wanted to have one of Scott’s knots. The original knot is 26 and Scott felt it could handle a 30. What the heck I went for it. It is a monster with good backbone and a great face feel. Not scritchy, nor scrubby. I have used perhaps 10 times and it gets better every shave. All my other brushes (approx) 24 are either 28 or 26. Very happy with the feel and performance.

Apologies for the delay in getting these out as things quite bad and deteriorating here.

Breaking in is critical.
Already broke in two B15 knots and now working a third.
To my perspective, B15 is Scott's best knot to date although have limited exposure to B2. B14 right there with B15 although B15 slightly better.
B13 neck and neck with B8 for best nongelling knot but requires thorough break in to reach potential

Must have been a breaking-in issue and it has already changed for the better. The knot felt really impressive, so I can’t disagree with Dan’s assessment.(06-23-2022, 10:28 PM)DanLaw Wrote: New updates reviewing the B14 and B15 knots - GO BACK TO OPENING POST TO READ THE UPDATED REVIEWI dunno, man.
