In an unrelated development, am so sorry to report that somebody broke into the house and stole my friend's B13 brush.  Fortunately nothing else was touched....   Haha, it IS THAT GOOD!!

Anybody have any experience to compare with the newer B14?

I guess it’s ok to post screenshots of Ben’s Reddit review, rather than a link?

By the way (and not particularly related to this discussion) I always have the impression there is a secret cadré of badger brush collectors who snag all the hard-to-get ones, swap them around, and decide together which brush knots are in fashion. Is this the case, and are any of you members?

The reason I think this is that everyone seems to have the same impressions about brushes at the same time and brushes become unobtanium overnight. Even though, really, a brush is just a brush and there aren’t life-changing differences between them.

Can promise NO artisan vendor has ever gone out of their way to get me a brush at full retail, let alone free or reduced pricing

B14 is an excellent batch. The tips are more gelled than B13. It exhibits a little more backbone than B13, and is consequently not quite as soft overall. Still, the splay is outstanding and luxurious. It is very similar in total to B13, and IMO should be purchased without reservation (other than cost).

Agreed, my phone has NOT been ringing to see if I want a $405 brush or a $1200 razor.  Those Artisans don’t have problems with customers and cash flow, they have problems with time.  Produce a great product and THEY WILL COME to purchase

It is just marketing. They have time, but if they produce more products, they gonna kill the golden goose.
