Hello all, have been wet shaving for almost two years, but only recently I got serious into shaving (Or should I say the dreaded SAD...). Over the past few months, I had acquired from almost most of the big names out there, but my hand got itchy and wonder if there are any possible top tier soap that I have miss?

I have tried soaps like the classic Tabac, all the way to big name artisans and to even some premium soaps such as Saponificio and MdC though I have yet to pull the trigger PannaCrema(I know sooner or later...).

You found the right place! Tabac was a nice start. I would recommend these underrated/Unknown:

Phoenix and Beau (best artisan)
OSP (right there too)
Mike's (one of the first)

Haslinger...simply the finest soap in production today.

Underrated by who? Since there is no standard, that doesn't mean too much. Maybe you mean under discussed.

Klar Seifen. Not discussed much. Not outrageously priced. Best cushion of all. Easy to find. Three different scents.

I'm not sure its underrated because, for example, one large forum proclaimed it the best, but its not all that well known since its German and not "artisan" .

Quintiple milled, last forever.

Hello! I already used 3 out of the 4 soaps that you suggested right there! I definitely need to do some research regarding OSP.

I heard fantastic opinions regarding Klar Seifen, definitely on to my must try list. I'll admit, the price is a little high for me to splurge on right now when I can probably buy a few other soaps for the price of Klar Seifen, with that being said, that item will slowly find its place in my shaving stash soon.

Tried Dapper Dragon sample before, sadly, I do have some better performing soaps that I have discover whilst in the midst of my soap finding adventure. However, it is still a fantastic soap though, I do have a friend that adore Dapper Dragon over those which I preferred.

I'm looking at these three soaps, any opinion of them?

Midnight & Two - Can't find much information about this beside the beautiful tin.
Tallow + Steel - The dark seems to be up my alley.
Bufflehead - Duck tallow? I don't think I have try that in any of my soaps thus far.
Jeeves of Hudson - Hear good stuffs!
Van Yulay - With the title "Soap of the God", it sure attracts my attention.

I too like dapper dragon a lot. The scents smell good but are not as advanced as B&M. DD is always a good performer for me. I love the watermelon scent.

I usually chalk up "Underrated" or "Not talked about" for a reason. If it's a top notch performer, we'll be talking about it and you'll know if it's good.

I'm glad others like to seek out soaps that no one has heard of or used, but I'm not willing to test them on my face with a razor blade.

As for the 5 above, I've only heard of T&S on here (no discussion elsewhere), I've seen M&T mentioned once. Bother are Canadian makers, so that intrigues me. I've never heard of the other 3.

I'm with vtmax Haslinger is for me and in the grand scheme of things, probably underrated compared to other flavor of the month soaps that are all the rage on forums and then are never talked about 6 months later. I'm sick and tired of formula changes and soap versions.
