I have to say Vito's. Seldom mentioned, cheap, and a top tier performer for me.

I'll just quote some of what I've said on another thread:

Haslinger soaps. Top quality lather, but rarely spoken on the shaving forums.

Calani Soaps. Great artisan soaps from Germany, already in the market since several years ago. Great performance and scents. The same can be said about Nanny Silly Soaps from UK.

Wilkinson shaving stick. Great performance, even has tallow for the tallow-lovers.

Musgo Real shaving soap. The first version, released a couple of years ago, was lacking performance (unstable lather), but the new version is wonderful. Great performance and scent.

Some good soaps like Provence Santé, Tabac, D.R.Harris were staples a couple of years ago. Now, they are rarely mentioned on the forums, for some reason other than quality and performance.

Kiss My Face shaving cream. I have to mention this, because that stuff impressed me from the first time that I've tried it. Great performance and nice scents. As a plus, the package has a huge quantity for an affordable price, and they are easy to get if you are in the USA.

While I don't think Cold River Soap Works is under rated it is not discussed much here. I have used the v1 Select of Bergamot & Bay and also Fall 2015. I liked both and used up the tins quite a while ago. I later tried v2 American Babershop and Oliva (Colonia Mediterrania i believe). Unfortunately these did not agree with my face and sold them off. I do want to try other CRSW scents but hard to justify since they dont offer samples.

I don't believe CRSW is a merchant or member on any other boards besides TSN, nor are his soaps sold by any Merchants. I wouldn't call it underrated since it seems popular enough based on the limited marketing; however, if the brand had more exposure I believe it would be one of the more popular brands. That's just my 2 cents anyway. The performance and scents are excellent.

My pick is Soapy Bathman for underrated.

I frequent two shaving boards: this one and Reddit Wetshavers. WSP isn't mentioned much at either place, Dr. Jon's is definitely more popular at Wetshavers, and Sapone Di Paolo is more popular here. You'd do well to give them all a try.
