Hobbyist, Paolo at TVB is great to deal with and my only real point is if guys can wait a few days longer a lot can be had much cheaper than vendors in the US, especially those vendors with physical stores, overhead and such. I always am amazed how cheap shipping is from Connaught to NA.

Sapone di Paolo. He has a new formula on the way. His V1 is solid so looking forward to trying V2.

I'll second Kevin's Sapone di Paolo suggestion.  Paolo's Cremoso and Agrume are my two favorites and extremely easy to use...

Sapone di Paolo, I have the Agrume, Bosco, and Cremoso along with the matching balms and they are all wonderful in scent and performance. Also really looking forward to his new formulation and the 5 new scents!

+1 for Sapone di Paolo (Bosco is my favorite), it's the easiest-lathering soap I've tried (if you give it enough water).

+1. It’s baffling how Connaught can often (depending on the contents of the order) ship from Britain at about half the price some vendors charge for shipping within the U.S.

While I’m at it, I’ll throw in an underrated soap: Ballenclaugh Shaving Soap. I only have one soap from Ballenclaugh, “Vanderpool,” and the leather smell on that one is so strong, it’s almost too much. But I really enjoy the performance of the soap, and would eventually like to try another offering from them (they currently only have three scents available).

Another one I’ve enjoyed is Wickham Soap Co. Once again, I only have their Super Smooth formula “Sheridan’s” and “Imperial Tonic,” but I’ve seen from several reviewers that the new 1912 formula is supposedly even better. Speaking of Connaught, that might be the place to order this one.

So for underrated, as in people seem to undersell its performance, one stands out for me: Al's Shaving Cream.  It works better than any other cream that I've tried, takes on water better than any soap I've used and performs as good as anything in the den.

For underdiscussed, the easy winner for me is Grandstaff Soap Co. Extremely good in all ways, and beats the tar out of other veggie soaps in post-shave. Price probably is a factor since it comes in 8 oz sizings, rather than what we are accustomed to.

Oh wow! Thank you all for taking your precious time to recommend some soap to me, I never will think that I will get this much response in such a short period of time!

Time to take some time to do some research and prepare my next purchase!

Shannon's Soap is great product. The lather produced from it is similar to Mike's, B&M, and Strop Shoppe.
