Dave's in California. Latest news on my homepage assures me we have not seceded from the union in spite of similar talk by Texans and Alaskans. The pitiful few surviving native Hawaiians are one final time demanding justice for the sugar baron's overthrow of the government and Puerto Rico is divided on finding a decent future. But, as W.C. Fields tombstone reads " at least I'm not in Philadelphia."

As already mentioned, Connaught Shaving stocks Pure₂O, and so does another merchant who is quite active here on DFS, The HandleBar Supply. Might be worth comparing prices with shipping. As for scents, the Vetiver seems to be divisive, but the DFS edition I find very pleasant.

Thanks to a fellow forum member and friend, I had the chance to sample all the scents side-by-side last weekend. Everyone seems to have their favorite. They are all excellent, but Verde is the one that stood out to me. (If I had to describe in two words or less, Blu: elegant, classy / Rossa: dark, masculine / Verde: fresh. The names of the soaps and the colors of their jars actually describe the nature of the scents quite well.)

I need to add Crowne and Crane. These soaps are phenomenal in scents and performance.

As far as the price of Nuavia, in my view, you're probably paying first for the high amount of fragrance, then the ceramic container, and then the soap base ingredients. Not your typical veggie soap with a little bit of frag and in a plastic tub.

Pure2O is a different recipe than the other PannaCrema soaps isn't it?

Pure20 has tallow and no calendula, and Nuavia has no tallow but has calendula. Both have stearic, coconut, and shea.

Yes, but what about the original PannaCrema soaps? I couldn't find a definitive ingredient list anywhere.

No idea what the old ones were, nor have I ever tried them.

It mentions what oils are in the soap, but no actual list of the ingredients.

People can be very passionate and loyal to some soaps. MWF remains a best seller that keeps moving stock in spite of endless debate over it being difficult to lather, a German soap is essentially the same but better countered by price point or even, in my case Downton Abbey packaging which is summarily torn open every 4 months and discarded and the OMG be careful not to break it ceramic container you can put shell like to ear and hear sheep grazing in Yorkshire. The now seemingly endless selections increased almost monthly with new discoveries and offerings leads to some fantastic collections and a vigorous aftermarket of trade and sell. If there is any universal complaint it may be expense. I remember those first two refill pucks of Taylor's pre reformulation rose and single in a wooden bowl. My family saw the charge and with a dollar store bath soap mentality confirmed my inability to handle money or know value. I wish I could refute that with
my decade long abstinence from trying Czech and Speake; a soap of high regard but also retail price. I look at a single refill puck and can easily buy 3 MWF or 4 PdP. I sometimes look at my product choices and prices that seemed equally expensive once. But there is a glass ceiling, and like my favorite wine financial restraints have kept me from approaching Johnny Depps' monthly bill for that pleasure. In the end there are few actually bad soaps that survive. Sometimes when PIFFED an 'artisan' soap with bright logos in themselves collectable one wiff and I'm wondering what they were, or not thinking. But I readily have my shaving EPIPEN; again MWF with that palate cleaning restrained scent familiar as eggs, bacon and coffee for breakfast.

Tallow, coconut, castor, shea, kaolin, and glycerin. The missing ingredients would be stearic acid, water, potassium hydroxide and possibly sodium hydroxide. I assume water because the description doesn't mention some other liquid such as aloe or coconut milk.

Here's the ingredients of the old formula: Aqua, Tallow, Potassium Hydroxide, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Castor Oil, Glycerin, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance, Kaolin, Ascorbic Acid. It's a good soap but the scent is very faint. It's been awhile since I used it, so I can't compare it to Nuávia or the Pure.
