Hey gents, I was looking at my stable of shave soaps today and I have quite a few known soaps that I think are soooo good; in all aspects, but you just never hear Shavers rave about them. So, I thought it'd be cool to do a thread about "Underrated Soaps".

I know this will be subjective because some soaps work well for some and not for others.

Post pics and give descriptions if you want to, of soaps that you own that you think are underrated in your personal experience and overview of them. List as many as you like. If someone else lists the same soap first, you list it as well!  I think it'll be cool to see what we come up with.

Mine are as follows (I could post more but I'll
Just give these):

The performance of Shave The Queen soaps and especially the scents are Devine!  One of my favorite artisan soaps EVER.

This import I don't see guys using too often at all, but man is this soap crazy good! The lather and slickness it produces is super top notch. It's a hard puck

This one kicks ASS!! Another hard puck soap; Henry Cavendish "Himalaya", loads very effortlessly, lathers like a rabid hyena, and smells wonderful!!... a strong hint of Anise in the notes. It's another one of my favorite soaps ever

And now a cream soap that is so good that God gave it to His chosen ones to make for the whole world.... straight import from Israel... Mem. This cream is phenomenal.

I've been into wet shaving as a hobby for some time now; so why didn't I know Lucky Tiger made a cream soap??? This was given for Father's Day. All I can say is "O M G".  Talk about an effortless lather... either handlather or brush.... AMAZING.

Lisa's Natural Herbal Creations. Dang good soap for my money. Scents are on the herbal side, but I enjoy them. I especially like the Cedar & Saffron. It's easily in my top tier as far as lather and post shave feel are concerned, and they are a bargain to boot.

Route 66 shave soaps. I don't hear them mentioned nearly enough. Her Bourbon Jungle is fantastic.

De Vergulde Hand is an excellent performing soap. The scent or some other ingredients in it didn't do so well on my skin unfortunately. Otherwise, this would be one of the most underrated soaps out there IMO.

I use MEM and have mentioned it before.  Good stuff!

If you can find Roger & Gallet as NOS, it is a fine triple milled French soap

Kiehl's Lite Flite Shave Cream for the Brush is an excellent cream.  Do not confuse this with their brushless cream which did not work for me

Freddy, is that "Mem" from the same company that used to make English Leather?

Honestly, I have no idea.  I know they make the "white" MEM (with allantoin) and the "green" MEM (with olive oil) but don't know about any other products produced by the same company.

I think Reef Point, WSP and Sudsy Soapery (changing recently) are all underrated.

I've been pleased with Col. Conks new Naturals shaving cream.  They also have matching after shave balm.  I wouldn't put this cream in my list of elite creams with Baum.be and Castle Forbes, though it is a solid performer that I use often.  They have done a nice job with the scents.

Here are the two I have:

Although pucks of it command fairly high prices when offered for sale, I think Ralph Lauren Safari shaving soap is underappreciated by many. It produces wonderful lather, and its great fragrance maintains over years.
