I can't speak to their hardware. I've never used anything by them, hardware-wise, but their Rustic Formula soap is outstanding! The Black Amber Vanille is just a wonderful, intoxicating scent, with exceptional shave performance...

Unfortunately this soap is apparently no longer in production, but for me it would be Savon des Volcans Menthe Stick by Savon des Bons Bergers. The hardest soap I've ever used and while less heralded than MDC or La Savonniere du Moulin, its a very good soap.

Don't think it is underrated (some say over), but I broke down and bought some Mitchell's Wool Fat for the very first time so we'll see how it goes. Don't know why I have never tried it. Too many good soaps to get through I guess.

IMO, the most underrated soap is the newest generation of Omega shaving cream ("croap") in the new style round tub. Gone is the overwhelming eucalyptus scent and replaced with one of the best "Barbershop" scents extant IMO. Smells like the old Erasmic in its heyday and not the current crap. It's made (like all Omega) by Proraso for them and is IMO the same formula as the newest Proraso ones, but a far better scent.

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

Sweet. I can't wait to hear what you think. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Just load it like SV, it can take the onslaught.

I think people don't like how plain they think the scent is. I personally love the nice light powdery barber-shop'esque scent, and man, MWF is a hell of a performer!!!  Amazing soap.
