They're sometimes called the Star Trek razor, probably late 60s into the mid 70s. Happy2

Well I posted on here about two weeks ago about wanting to try a GEM SE razor. I hadn't seen one posted on the BST for awhile so last Saturday I put up a WTB. I kind of jumped in with both feet Big Grin.  Got them on Wednesday and have been shaving with the Featherweight. Really enjoying it and can't wait to try the others.

The Bakelite handle on the Treet razor fits the EverReady head. Now technically I agreed to buy the Treet before the EverReady entered the conversation the next morning but to those outside the Wet Shaving Comm. I had to buy the Treet Razor in order to get the handle for the EverReady head  Angel

Thanks to Doug, (DblDe)  I was able to get an instant SE collection.  Been messaging each other over the last week about the razors and other shave stuff. Great guy and very helpful.  Happy2

I want to give a shout out to Brian (ShadowsDad).  In addition to this thread I found some reviews of his on TSN which were very helpful as well as answering questions I had about what to look for and what to ask/confirm when looking to buy this style of razor.

Thanks also to all those who have posted on here with your insight.

Sorry not the best photographer:

I've personally found the featherweight and micromatic a bit too mild. The two 1912s are a great balance of efficiency and smoothness. That's what I use daily, I suggest you check out a 1914 also. The 1924 (shovelhead ) was a little too aggressive and harsh for my face but you may find it to your liking. Enjoy your shaves!

Nice grabs Wolverine! I've never seen a Featherweight with that color handle before.

Thanks Polishaver this could be a deep hole. These should keep me busy for a while plus I did pick up a couple of injectors last month. Really liking the SE blades.

Which injectors did you get? If you don't have an E-type yet shoot me a PM, maybe we can trade or maybe I can just PIF it to you. Let me know

Thanks wyze0ne   I've looked online and I've seen white, cream, black, this olive and some have even said a grey color.  Mine seems to have satin finish vs the chrome/ nickel some have.  Maybe someone could chime in about all the combinations there were.

Thanks whiteboy_cannon I picked up a I1,J1 and a adjustable. Pretty sure the I1 and J1 have the same head but  I wasn't sure about what handle length I would like.

Been very happy with the shaves so far. Still need to concentrate on the angle. Pretty good about it on the first pass but when I start moving a little quicker on the second and third I tend to angle it more like a DE.  I stop and reset the angle. i just need to slow it up until I get it down.

Very nice! Do you know if the I and J have the hydromagic head or not?
