Today I used the 2021 RSMC on settings #1, #12, and on the Zero Dot.

Setting #12 requires a 720º spin of the adjustment dial and is wide open (I think). It's still smooth going S-N on my neck and N-S on my soul patch and upper lip.

The razor shaves rather well on its very lowest setting, the Zero Dot. On that setting there is virtually no blade feel at all in my most sensitive area in its most sensitive direction. (Which means my upper lip going S-N/ATG.)

I've used only a Wizamet SI blade with the razor. (I use only the Wizamet and the Polsilver SI blades.)

What's not to like about the Sailor?

Happy shaves,

Jim

Bulk and weight is about the only things to "complain" about, IMO. It is arguable if addressing either or both would result in better performance.

As it sits, the Sailor is the best razor on the market, IMO. It can deliver any shave I want, on demand. The value proposition is pretty remarkable even at $700. A "bargain" by most definitions.

Sorry folks, I know I am behind the times but the shave yesterday was so good I just had to post a pic of it.  One day I will read raving reviews of a new arrival that makes my 2020 look obsolete.  Is the latest edition the one?
