Not an avid podcast listener, but when you bring up something in this manner, I can’t help but be curious… Was the podcast really over two hours, though? There’s a Rogan + Lazar video on YouTube with that running time. (I did find a much shorter version, too, but I wonder if they cut out something relevant. Haven’t listened to it yet.)

The website has always been classy. You’ve now moved it into stunning territory. The product photos are like something that existed in a comic book and was then realized in an adventure movie.

Yeah that's it. There is also a Netflix documentary about him. The skeptic in me thinks he is full of shit, but damn his story is pretty good. I'll have to stop talking about it though - there isn't room for two wetshaving companies to be obsessed with aliens and UFOs!   Big Grin

Awesome, thanks! Adventure is what we go for.

Lazar has pretty questionable credibility. Look for something on the Nimitz incident if you want something that seems to have actually happened.

Haha, yes, let’s leave the UFO stuff to those who do it best – and I agree, one company focusing on that subject is plenty. Smile I’m very much a skeptic, but it’s fun to sometimes be entertained by stories and possibilities, so I’ll keep that podcast in mind.

Getting back to soap matters, got around to trying Madagascar for the first time, and the scent left me perplexed. I think it’s causing some association that’s not the best. Hopefully with further use, I’ll start to appreciate it for what it is, without any associations. Scents really have the ability to evoke memories or reactions in a way that no other sense can.

I should add that this was my first experience with a v3 soap, and both the soap and the splash are absolute beasts when it comes to performance.

Not to go off on too much of a tangent, but the question “is the podcast really over 2 hours long?” Caught my attention.  Some of the best podcasts are really long like Hardcore History which can have 5 part episodes with each part being 4 or 5 hours long. If the subject is interesting you can dive deep. You listen to them over multiple sessions driving or doing cardio at the gym. Time flies.  If you prefer shorter content try Mike Rowe’s The Way I Heard It the “podcast for people with a curious mind and a short attention span”. They’re around 10 minutes long and excellent.

Used Grog yesterday. Love that soap  Happy2

I’m familiar with the Nimitz incident, and I have no doubt at all that it actually happened. A similar incident happened to a few Air Force friends of mine off the East coast of Canada a few years ago. Crazy stuff.

I hope it grows on you! Madagascar is a scent created around ylang ylang oil. It smells like a complex, spicy, slightly woody ylang ylang: so opinions on this scent often depend on if you like the smell of that floral or not. If someone doesn’t like it, they won’t like Madagascar, but if they do, then chances are good that they will like our scent.

Give me an update after a little more use - I’ll be interested to see if it grows on you or not. And thanks for the comments about V3!

I agree! I really like the long form discussion. You don’t have to worry about clips being edited or chopped up due to time, or things like the media trying to vilify people by using clever edits. And there is so much to learn from podcasts and long form discussion.

Perhaps you can tell that I’m not well-versed in the world of podcasts. Smile Part of it might be knowing that I could cover so much more territory by reading. However, I suppose I haven’t really considered the fact that it can be enriching to actually listen to the person instead of just reading their words… I still like Mike Rowe’s idea, though. Happy2

Ryan, thanks for taking the time to describe Madagascar in detail. I tend to enjoy florals a lot, but I don’t have much experience with ylang-ylang. Perhaps the thing with Madagascar is that it’s throwing so much at me at once. Smile I do think it’ll grow on me, though. Today, I opened the splash just to get a whiff, and was able to pick up the vanilla for the first time. Hopefully more of the various nuances of the scent will present themselves over time. I think that that might then help me sense the whole scent in a different way, too. I’ll keep you posted, and once again, props for making such marvelous products. The soaps often get the attention, but your splashes are tremendous, as well!
