Gillette ‘53 Y2 President / NacetYaqi 24x55mm High Mountain SilvertipDG La Petite Prairie Shave Soap & Aftershave
Gentlemen, these two photos really caught my eye this evening. Made me scroll back and inspect a little longer than usual. Nicely done.
SOTD June 3, 2021 (day, not night this time, because I have a 6:30 p.m. call for a theatrical performance these days)
Fresh out of the Post Office, a Henson AL13 Mild:
prep - shower with Caprina Fresh Goat’s Milk Original Formula bar soap
razor - Henson AL13 Mild
blade - Astra SP (2)
brush - Stirling 2-Band Synthetic
soap - Fendrihan's Aloe Water cream
post - warm water rinse, Shavex alum block, cold water rinse
aftershave - Osage Rub
This razor is a bit strange to use.
It is very quiet, which makes it harder for me to find the angle, but I kept checking the mirror and got used to it.
When you torque down the handle it feels like it's bending the blade more than usual.
The handle (being light) is not so long that it messes up the balance.
As others have said, it gives a much closer shave than other razors that feel equally mild. By the third pass, it had almost no blade feel and I thought the angle was wrong half the time. It even did a good job on my "ghost stubble" problem areas.

We could be Heroes, just for one day.
