Joseph Rodgers and Sons 6/8 Master Razor No.1
I've had this for a little while now but never reach for it. I just prefer a DE razor. It's a shame really because it's a nice razor. It will have to make its way in to someone else's hands soon.

If you're looking to trade or sell that razor, let me know... Big Grin

Here are the few that I own. I no longer use them, couldn't tell you much about them, and keep them more as collector's items.

Freddy does that razor on the bottom right have an ornate safety bar on it? That's really cool!

Yes, Chris.  I believe the patent dates run from 1886-1900.  Here is a post from Straight Razor Place (post #2) that might explain more about it as well as three closeups of my Curley's Ideal Safety Razor:

Thats freaking awesome!

I cant read the informational thread. I was banned from SRP for saying its rude to tell people to throw their Gold Dollars away, and that anyone can learn to hone with practice and patience. They dont like inexpensive razors and determined individuals over there...

Wow, BadDad, I didn't realize they were so snooty. I agree with David that you should be able to get onto their site as a non-member. I found the particular post quite informative.

I was able to read through it.
Interesting that it has a removable blade, but is still of a steel quality that can be regularly honed and stropped. Very cool!

Enjoyed the photos. They are more than things of beauty, they're works of art. I look forward to owning one (and maybe more) one day soon.
