Great shave from some great gear! The Polsilver blade still had some life left but I was ready for a change. The Rapira performed wonderfully!

Have a great night! [Image: 62e8eecfeaf229d178548ccce10acf6f.jpg]

I had shave three with the Rex Ambassador this morning.  I paired it with a new Gillette Swede blade and left the razor on 3.  The results were just terrific.  It has been almost three hours and my face is still BBS.  As I have stated elsewhere, I was leery about spending so much on a razor, even with Razor Emporium's very generous group buy.  Cost, I have found in the shaving world, does not always indicate quality.  In this case, however, the cost was most definitely in line with the quality of this wonderful razor.  One gets the feeling that this was as much a labor of love as it was a business decision for Matt.

I had my third shave with the Rex today, both head and face. My first two weren't brilliant but I was using a Gilette Spoiler. I decided to pop in a Polsilver and had a much smoother shave. Head on a 3, face on a 2 with my XTG passes on a 1.5. There's no doubt about it, this is a quality razor.

So I just got and my Gibbs adjustable razor #17and the Gibbs plus-minus razor #14
The Rex adjustable is much better quality. All stainless steel and really manufactured beautifully No doubt about that but to me I enjoyed the shave of the Gibbs a little bit more. It was a little bit smoother on the face than the Rex which I find for me has a slight drag. Both are great razors and you'll get a great shave from both of them.

Public Service Announcement: Please do not stumble out of an uber with your wife at 2:15 am and then decide to use your Rex Ambassador on setting six.

There was no blood, but some slight razor burn when I woke up lol. The shave felt great at the time though.

Now what made you decide to use setting six! AND why shave at 2:30 AM?

Six has been fine for me other than that night, and to the bold. Because it was sitting out on the counter I guess?
