So my Lupo should be in soon... Just got a shipping notice. Very excited to try it. From all of the comments so far it appears to be about .61 gap (thanks Shavemd) and neutral exposure.

Should shave smooth, then... And just a bit more efficient than a Tech. Fingers crossed.

So how would it compare then to other razors we know in terms of efficiency? Like 68 gap timeless? More like 95 gap timeless? Similar to GC84 ? Other razors people might compare to in terms of efficiency?

I received the Lupo yesterday and used it for last night's shave.
Extremely comfortable (probably its best attribute, and I don't think I have a razor that will compete with Lupo on this subject)
Easy to use.
Never a moment of any concern.
Skin felt and looked great.

Not my most efficient... but not every new razor has to be!!!! This is a great change of pace. And it's perfect for what it is and does.

Thanks Nero! Now I'm super excited to receive mine. Extremely comfortable was my Holy Grail of hopes... Can't wait to try this one out.

I've shaved twice with this.  I agree with Nero on it.  My only issue was the weight, so I changed out the handle this morning.  I like it.  It's not my most efficient razor, but it is comfortable.  There are zero concerns that you will get cut.  It gives a nice shave.  I could see this being my travel razor.

First shave with the Lupo... two thumbs way up!
As a first outing, I started off slow and deliberate, without any added pressure. I was about three strokes in when I thought, “Okay, nothing to fear here, let’s go for it!”. I found the razor to be efficient but very smooth and required very little clean up after my second pass. The Lupo gave me an excellent shave with ease.
I could see this being an easy daily driver for most people. I would put this in between the GC .68 and .84 in terms of aggressiveness, but closer to the .68. The light weight only adds to the easy of use, as you won’t be punished for excess pressure in the way a similarly aggressive razor of more weight might. I thoroughly enjoyed my first shave with the Lupo and I’m looking forward to many more!

Question for those who have shaved with both the Lupo and the Mamba 70.
How does the Lupo compare in...

1) Smoothness
2) Efficiency
3) Ease of shaving (since it is much lighter than the Mamba 70)

I plan to purchase the Mamba 70 when it is back in stock, since everyone says it is better than the original Mamba .53. I am now interested in the Lupo, based on the reviews so far, since my sweetspot razor is typically in the .70 to .78 range (for a daily shaver). My aggressiveness "limit" is the GC .84 OR a razor with less blade gap and more blade forward design like the Carbon CX (.68 gap and blade forward. I reviewed the CX in June).

Welp, received mine today... It must have been the proverbial 'made on a Friday' razor... Ouch.

I'm now thinking on this... What if this was my first razor, brand new to shaving... I probably wouldn't known well enough not to put a zero safety bar razor to the face. Quite the lesson that would have been.

Reached out to IB, hope I'm not waiting a long time for a replacement. [Image: 3a5a10f262d00af946234cae3959366d.jpg][Image: 9502241d1d8458841a0b1921e8d030d0.jpg]

Wow, looks like you got the dual comb. Bad joke. I’m sure they’ll take care of you for that one.

I feel sorry for you, that must be disappointing, i hope you don't have to wait too long for a replacement and Italian Barber gives you a small compensation for your troubles, i mean something like this shouldn't slip through the Quality Control.
